President’s Comments/Update (Angelo Bryant)

– Wellness check on everyone: discussed the snowstorm; two suicides last week at the base—tough year

– Covid-19 updates: checked with Gerald for latest updates—schools starting up; be careful & safe; stay informed—moving this topic to Gerald

– Sijan Chapter updates: Constitution/By-laws update review—we’ll review and make updates to push out to the board. We’ll need to send the final to AFA.org

– Fundraiser idea to supplement IMAGE Golf proceeds for Scholarships: host a Pampered Chef party that would provide funding to recoup from IMAGE Golf cancellation this year. Host would donate commission proceeds to go towards scholarships funds; virtual party hosted on our Facebook page; at no cost to chapter and we would also use it as an opportunity to talk about the AFA org. We will look into how much we’ll need to supplement (IMAGE usually raises $6-8K); fundraiser will begin 1 October—get word out earlier
