President’s Comments/Update (Angelo Bryant)

– Sanity Check- Health and wellness of the members is important. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you or your family are in need and we can support.

– Training Plug
– 2021 Priorities update

— Virtual/In-Person Membership meeting shift to Mar (9-12 Peterson Club) – Plan to have Senior Air Force and Space Leadership to discuss “What’s Happening in Space” – need something by next Friday

— Executive Council Member vacancy announcements (VP, Membership VP)—Angelo will send out an email about the changes; Morey (VP) is PCS’ing and we need a fill ASAP and so is an open position; Kristen (Membership) is stepping down, so we need to fill this one; Althoff is expecting to depart so we need to get someone trained up; Shierae (CP) is PCS’ing and will need to be replaced (TSgt Marquez is working with Shierae); Expect e-mail to be sent before the end of the month for Nominees to fill positions.

–– Would like to have backups for the positions, especially those filled by military members

— State Convention discussion: we have some opportunities in August to discuss; it’s our turn this year and so we may partner with Mel Harmon chapter—we want to help MH and fulfill our obligations

–– Linda and Angelo discussed the info in the emails and why we should help MH; expect it to be a scaled down event—the expense is significant, so we may only honor the AFA personnel
