President’s Comments/Update (Angelo Bryant)

            – Sanity Check: masks are mandated again; vaccinations will probably be required by mid-Sept (military, DoD & contractors); want to get together face-to-face in spite of this—we need connectedness; looking for a place off base to get together
– Training Update: encourage everyone to get training on their position on the AFA portal
– August/September priorities update: lots of open, vacant positions (PCS’s); let Angelo know if you know of anyone who would be willing to fill these roles; discussed some places to meet off-base
— Executive Council Member vacancy updates: Membership VP, Aerospace Education & Scholarship VP, Veteran’s Affairs VP, Government Relations VP, Community Relations VP
— Additional Support needed: Need ideas for off base meeting places (21 Seed Library)
— Storage inventory (Oct): We share a storage space with NDIA; want to go through it all in October to clear it out of unnecessary things.
— Space Force Birthday (Dec): Do we want to purchase Cake/cupcakes pending COVID
status?(Bldg 1) Find a cake company to reach to, to become a sponsor (DJ will follow up with a couple ideas; the Board voted yes to get a cake and try to get a bakery to become our CP
